Websites
Hey everyone! just wanted to let you guys know that my dad has a website up now! the url is: Dad's Website
This was another project that kept me busy during my month of unemployment. It's super basic, but a fun first website to make! Chris will probably fancy it up once biology and bio-chem are out of his hair!
Also, this is the website for the company I just got hired onto!
Code Green Solutions
If anyone knows somebody building any large projects that would like some green consulting, let me know!!! :). The company is looking to expand and projects in california and elsewhere are welcome!
hope everyone is doing well!! post some updates!!

Eryn's 7th Birthday party!
Hola, Familia!
Eryn had her 7th birthday party! Grandma made her a tasty & healthy whole wheat, yolkless birthday cake. She got some awesome horsey gifts and a George Bush Voodoo doll! (She has some politically sophisticated friends!). She's now horsebackriding age, so if anyone wants to visit, we're going to take her on a coastal horseback ride soon!
xoxo

I emailed la familia lee, but DanDan said I should put it in our blog...
Summer 2007....anyone want to go whitewater rafting in the Bay Area? When can people get together this summer? July 4th weekend? This is on the South Fork of the American River and is about a 2.5h drive from SF....it's an overnight rafting/camping trip, meals are provided. Website is http://www.mariahwe.com/MWEmain.aspOption=List&Category=cal&River=asf
December 2007....we've been talking about maybe doing it in the Bay Area, w/home base @ Uncle Kenny's & our house...and doing day trips. I'm thinking of....
1) http://www.circuscenter.org/classes/groups.html: in San Francisco....Group trapeze, acrobatics, tumbling--our family already does the acrobatics formations every year on our own! Now we can get professional help!
2) http://www.caverntours.com/MoCavRt.htm: Moaning caverns is a few hour drive from where we live. You repel down 165 feet into the caves, then wiggle/squirm/crawl/climb your way through the cool caves/formations called like....the pancake, Godzilla's nostril, etc. I've done this before and it's supercool!
3) http://www.gokartracer.com/team_building.html: family go kart racing! This is only about a 30 minute drive from our house.
4) http://www.esalen.org/place/hot_springs.shtml: These are hot springs on the Pacific Ocean!!! But it's at a new age/yoga/inner growth workshop place and they don't take family gatherings. They only take groups of 4 at a time and can only do 20 total at a time. The dude told me we'd have to make 5 reservations of 4 in a sneaky way....we'll see if I can figure it out. We'd have to be quiet and orderly there.
What do you guys think? I'm trying to find more activities. There's tons of great ethnic food to eat here. Too bad we can't do whitewater rafting in December--that'd be a great family outing.
love you all,
Auntie W!

Thoughts #1
In life, there are times when you just drink way too much coffee. Then, while you're sitting in class with 45 minutes to go and your bladder is on the cusp of an explosive schism, you have to dig deep. Hydrostatic pressure is nothing. Winning is everything.

Tiny House
Hey everyone! Hope everyone is doing well. Just wanted to let ya'll know about a side project I am working on down here in New Orleans. It is pretty much the highlight of my week. A few of us are building a house for a man that lives in in the neighborhood. He currently lives in the back of his brother-in-law's property in pretty poor conditions. We are building him a small house (10x20) on an already existing slab. We are going to try to make it a self-sustaining structure. This is a little ditty that my friend Tommy wrote about the project:
"so, in planning for this build, we asked ourselves what those who live
off-the-grid do, and have done for eons, without the luxury of urban
ammenities...perhaps they would design a roof that channels water to a
cistern (water catch basin that costs about $30 to build) that will
receive direct exposure to the heat of the sun, and provide, via
gravity, a warm shower, and drinking water. also, a long sloped roof,
over the 20' length of the house, could create space for a small loft
@ the front of the house, and a large southwest-exposed wall that will
heat the house in the winter and provide natural light
inside...anyway, without getting very technical, that's the gist...and
we are trying to build it for under $3000, a challenge in itself.
already, the funky roof is evoking alot of rubber-necking -- it's hard
to find anything but a gable roof (/\) in the very
traditionally-styled french city of new orleans -- should've seen the
initial look on marlon, the land-owner's face when i said, "composting
toilet" -- but he is a smart guy, and was actually really excited by
our ideas, and the thought of a house that cost little to no $ to run
-- it very well may be the last time anyone lets us build something
like this in the u9, but the opportunity to learn and perhaps infuse
modern sustainable building and living practices into the post-katrina
community (which is by the way, a collection of some very kind people
who seem to really need some help getting back on their feet right
now) is too beautiful to pass up..."
Anyways. Here are a few pictures of the house so far. It's a really exciting project and an evolving design.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Hey guys,
I just wanted to say Happy New Years!
Jason and his girlfriend Emily came to visit me for the New Years. It was a lot of fun hanging out with them and seeing Chris off :(
I bought an air mattress to accomodate my visitors, and it took up my whole living room! I should have taken a picture to post on the website. On New Year's Eve, Jason, Emily, and I went to my college friend's house for a party! Jason and Emily didn't even make it until New Years! On the 1st, we went to Koreatown and had duk gook. After brunch, we brought Chris and his friends some duk gook too. For most of Jason's visit, I had to work :( But, on their last night, I took them out to two dinners and dessert to make up for lost time! The whole weekend was a blast, and I encourage you all to come visit me! I have a great air mattress for you to sleep on!
PATRICIA - I have American Airlines money that I need to use. . . When is a good time to book a flight for NOLA??

What is happening in this photo? It is like a lee family mosaic!
Can you count how many people are in this picture? (not counting lady on Korean Magazine)
In the Presidio
Hiya! We got a special tour of the Presidio in San Fransico from Ford's friend Tom. The Presidio is now the headquarters for all of George Lucas' companies (Lucas Arts, Indutrial Light and Magic, Lucas Film etc.) It had a beautiful campus and an amazingly delicious cafeteria. The view in the cafeteria included the Golden Gate Bridge, the Palace of Fine Arts and Downtown San Fran!
Chris, I thought you would appreciate this. . . . this picture is with a REAL storm trooper and if you look at the reflection behind it R2D2 is right next to it! It was awesome we saw models they were making for the new Transformer movie and the scary portrait of the Bad Guy in Ghost Busters 2 that comes to life! There was also an office that was labeled Lucas/Speilberg because apparently the two of them meet a lot.
anyway here is one pic. We weren't really allowed to take photos. . .

Zee Girls!!
Davids Operation
">" border="0" alt="" />
David just had all his wisdom teeth pulled. Under General Anethesia. He talking out of his head. He is the biggest wimp. He's been talking non-stop after and during surgery. He won't let his girl leave his side. Shes been here since 4:30 and it is now 8:03 pm during this time she has not eaten, went to the bathroom, or able to move from her spot by his side. She's shackled to his bed.
David was actually nice to me today. He told Swan that she was the best mom, It blew her mind.
